Denny and Brenda come from families of pastors and missionaries. Denny was a missionary kid, born in Costa Rica and raised in Honduras, Central America. He grew up active in many areas of ministry, especially discipleship and music.

Brenda was born in Washington state and left with her missionary parents for Latin America when she was two. She was raised in Argentina, South America, and was also involved in ministry, especially music.

Denny and Brenda were married in 1985 and, after graduating from LIFE Bible College in California, they were sent as missionaries to Argentina in 1987. They served a total of 15 years, first in Argentina, then in Ecuador where Denny oversaw the Foursquare work in several countries of northern South America. Teaching, leadership development, administration, and music were among the many things that they were involved in during those years.

Denny and Brenda felt called to return to the United States, specifically to Ada in 2002. Denny worked locally and served as an associate minister at VLF until the end of January, 2006, when he was appointed as senior pastor. Brenda received her teaching degree from ECU and is teaching high school Spanish. She is serving at VLF with Denny, especially involved with praise and worship.

Denny and Brenda have 3 children: Michelle (22), Justin (20), and Nicolle (15).
